What is your reality?
April 05, 2010Smartphones have made augmented reality available to the masses, no special gear required. The Nike iPhone application called True City is just one example of the bridge between the real world and computer generated “reality.” True City let’s you see tags from Nike Insiders rating, reviewing and just labeling the spots they feel make their city great. After downloading you can add your own ratings, reviews and tags that will be evaluated by peers. The Amazing Tribe (TAT, a Swedish technology firm) has also released an app based in augmented reality. Focused on people instead of the environment, you can set a status message, services and whatever else on your phone. Anyone who views you sees this data hovering around you and can interact with it.
